Clinical study on probiotics regarding the COVID-19 vaccination in the elderly

This study is conducted by the centre de recherche du CHUS in Sherbrooke and in collaboration with Laval University. Our objective is to determine whether taking probiotics at the time of vaccination against COVID-19 could make the vaccine even more effective.

We are looking for Quebec residents aged of 65 years and older who are waiting to receive their fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to participate in our study.

  • Why should I participate?

    ✓ You will contribute to the gathering of knowledge on vaccination and immunity to COVID-19

    ✓ You will be accompanied by a multidisciplinary team of researchers and research professionals

    ✓ You will receive financial compensation for your time

  • What it involves

    ✓ Ingesting a product for 30 days around your fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine

    ✓ Answer questionnaires about your health and the ingestion the product

    ✓ Collecting samples in the comfort of your own home and returning them to us by mail

  • To participate, you must

    ✓ Be between 65 and 89 years of age

    ✓ Have already received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine

    ✓ Not have had a dose of the vaccine in over five months

    ✓ Not have had COVID-19 in the past three months
